Andrej Stular
Andrej Štular: THE SATURN POLEMICS - AT NOON, AT MIDNIGHT

A little creature revolves around two lying-down figures that represent something earthly. The figures stare into sky - they observe and at the same time emit light. The little creature embodies a body of light, a star or a satellite in constant movement. The work consists of abandoned materials and objects; it acts spontaneously and unburdened, slightly melancholic, with a dramaturgy that leads into exploration.

Andrej Štular (1967, Kranj) is active in various fields of visual arts: comics, photography, film, puppet theatre. He uses abandoned objects and materials and reassembles them, adds new value and recycles them, by which he expresses his relationship to consumer society. The works remind of objects, found by archaeologists.
